I’m in a committed hate relationship with my K2 right now. We’ve been together barely a month, and I’ve already had to contact support to replace the extruder assembly and the hotend.
Last night was the breaking point. I kicked off a nice 4-hour print, watched it start, and went to bed feeling optimistic. Woke up to find the printer door wide open, filament everywhere, and my K2 happily chugging away trying to “print” in the middle of a pasta factory explosion.
Here’s the kicker: I have all the AI features turned on… and apparently the AI couldn’t tell the difference between “printing a model” and “cosplaying as a spaghetti chef.” The hotend was so mummified in PLA there was no saving it.
So, anyone know how to make the AI actually stop the print when it’s producing spaghetti? Or should I just train it on pictures of Olive Garden?

Same here. You wil get the same questions everyone get. Have you activated it in the menu ? Is it activated in the creality cloud? yes but every restart of the printer turns it off in the app.
Are the cameras clean. For me only the detect object works before a print starts when i clean the nozzle just a little and i take to long i need to restart the whole printer because it wont go further to bed probing. Have throw in different color spaghetti to test the ai it wont pause the print. The ai detection on my sonic pad works better with a 480p webcam. I had hope it would be fixed in a couple firmware updates, i dont think the wil ever gonna fix it. I got hope for some custom firmware in the future that you can drop on a usb stick and everything i ever needed get installed.

Wasted filament could fill a landfill at this point. Nice to know I’m not the only one contributing to the Great PLA Reef. Support? Oh, they’re running a game of “Support Bingo”:
☐ Ask for receipt
☐ Ask for proof of purchase
☐ Suggest turning it off and on again
☐ Blame the slicer
☐ Go radio silent
Sadly, “Actually fix the problem” isn’t even on the card.

Here is the video of AI not detecting a major issues with the print.
Support Ticket #AI-LOL**
Issue: AI camera may or may not work.
Verification Method: None. Zero. Nada.
Customer Question: “Can you explain how the AI works?”
Support Response: “Oh… yeah, you really shouldn’t depend on that. It’s basically useless.”
Customer Reaction: Wait… so you advertise AI as a selling point, but then tell me not to use it?*
That’s like ordering a cheeseburger and being told, “The cheese is for decoration only — please don’t eat it.”
