K2 (basic) on OrcaSlicer

Can anyone tell me how I can add my K2 (not Pro, not Plus) to OrcaSlicer? It doesn’t appear among the options, and I don’t know if it’s possible to extract the G-code from Creality Print or something similar to make it work.

I can confirm that you are not missing it and that as of Orca v2.3.1, only the K2 Plus is listed. The base K2 is not.

To use a base K2 in Orca, you need to create a custom printer definition and then manually transfer settings side by side from Creality Print 7 into Orca. There is no direct export or import mechanism between the two slicers. It is tedious, but it does work.

I had to do essentially the same thing for my K2 Plus. Even though Orca includes a K2 Plus definition, I wanted to use a specific 255 mm build plate from my Bambu P1. To accomplish that, I duplicated an existing Bambu printer definition, saved it as a K2 Plus variant, then opened that Orca definition in one window and Creality Print 7 in another and manually copied each setting across.

Yes, it is a pain in the ass, but Creality, much like Bambu Lab (which Orca is derived from), does not make cross-printer profile portability easy.

This works both ways. I later transferred those same settings back into Creality Print.

If nobody else here has a better solution, another good place to raise this question is Orca Slicer’s GitHub issues page:

Good luck and let this community know how you faired. :four_leaf_clover:
