K2 bed not returning to bottom when switched off

Hi all,

First Creality machine and loving it so far. I do however have an issue with the bed not going all the way to the bottom when switched off (see picture). Have tried pressing the “off” button on LCD screen but get same condition. Most annoying must be honest. All the video’s I’ve seen show the bed flat and level after it is switched off.

Its almost as if gravity does its thing when stepper motors are turned off and bed lowers uniformly till about 50mm before the bottom then left side hits first and right side remains about 50mm off the bed. Used phone level to show this. If I leave it for about 5 seconds the left side slowly creeps down a few millimeters almost as if it is binding somewhere. If I push it softly with finger it hits the bed.

Really nobody?

The K2 is pretty new and not a lot of people have experience with it yet so it might take time get an answer that would help you much.

Hi there, manually lower the heated bed to the bottom before use. If the Z motor is unlocked (off), the heated bed will naturally fall due to gravity. Uneven smoothness or weight on both sides can cause it to tilt when it reaches the bottom.

For details, please refer to the sticker we put on the bottoms.

Hi there,
Did I not see / hear on a youtube review that there was going to be a firmware update in december to fix the bed falling if there is a power cut.
