Hello everyone,
I am requesting assistance regarding an issue with my Creality K2 Combo printer.
I purchased this printer approximately two days ago, and it has been used for only a few hours. Currently, the extruder nozzle is not heating, and the printer displays the error message:
“The nozzle is not heating as expected”
Error Code: TE2564
I have already tried powering off the printer, waiting several minutes, and turning it back on, but the issue remains unchanged.
I would appreciate any guidance from experienced users
Mate I am still learning myself but learning fast. Don’t be surprised if the print head hardware is not working. I have fixed about 100 errors since I have owned mine. Replaced circuit boards etc. ChatGPT is also excellent at helping with print settings, if you change them and the gap between temperatures is too big you will get errors like that one. I have found 90% of errors related to the firmware. I rolled back to the one ending in 66 and the printer has stopped giving me new errors everyday.

Thanks mate, I really appreciate you sharing your experience. That actually makes a lot of sense. I’m also learning fast, but it’s good to hear from someone who’s already been through so many issues and fixes.
I’ll definitely check both the hardware and the firmware side again. Interesting point about the temperature gaps and firmware causing most of the errors — I suspected something like that. I might try rolling back to the same firmware version you mentioned and see if it stabilizes things.
Thanks again for the advice, it’s reassuring to know I’m not alone with these issues

Creality downloads - then select your machine - K2 Pro or K2 pick the previous firmware that ends in 66, put it on a USB then stick it in the machine & it will say do you want to upgrade? Yes. Only takes a few seconds. I have learnt fast just because there is an update unless you have time to sit around figuring out problems you might be better off with what is working. That firmware ending in 94 I think, the latest is bug ridden.

Hi, thank you very much for taking the time to share this and for the detailed guidance
I really appreciate your troubleshooting advice and experience with the firmware versions.
I just wanted to update you that I have already contacted Creality official support, and they have confirmed the issue is hardware-related. They have already shipped a brand-new hotend kit for my K2 Combo printer, which is currently on the way.
Your explanation and suggestions were very helpful during the troubleshooting process, and I truly appreciate the support from the community. Thanks again for your guidance and willingness to help — it means a lot
