Friday last week started having CFS issues and the CFS would continue to retract. Opened the bottom of the CFS to find A was lite up with no filament. Even removed the board from the hub and it still keeps being lite up.
So CFS 1/4 down.
Today while trying to run a bed level print test I get FS2831. In the middle of the print a CFS just leaves the party. So now I am down 2/4 CFS’s
The worst part is getting support now i have to wait hours for someone to get online in china to talk to them. Spent 40 mins talking to support on the creality website but they say all they can do is pass on the info and i`ll get a response by monday. LOL I wall banger.
So on this printer I have needed the following.
Since purchase 1/7/2025
2x Extruder housing, (14 days down time)
3x Cutter Blade,
1x Extruder motor, - (16 days of down time)3 week to get replaced. Had to buy my own before they would replace.
1x CFS 5 way filament PCB (now 7 days of down time and counting)
Probably 1x CFS motherboard.
1x Strain gauge,
1x Aux Fan
37 days without use awaiting parts.
from 80 days of ownership and many many miles of wasted filament.
Machine 2
Arrived broken. No availability to replace it.
Parts replaced.
Down time 18 days.
Print bed heat pad - Not been reimbursed or sent a replacement yet.
Print bed poxy plate. Not been reimbursed for. Original damaged with the rest of the bed upon delivery.
Two bed supports (these connect to the Z screws to support the bed)
One of Z Screw and motor (replacement is bent worse than the original 2 so kept two in place)
Front glass door replaced.
Strain gauge due to first layer issue.
Foot needs replacing because its damaged. replacement has been shipped.
Floor was buckled and I straightened it out and had to buy new hardware.
I think most of the problems are because of the delivery. But there a flaws in the k2 plus. Extruder ventilators not working or making noise. Extruder motor fails. The board of the cfs sensors, spring in extruder causing extruder eating soft materials( helpt me to download a file to manual set the spring, and setting the extruder ventilator on) . When idle and not set extruder ventilator on the extruder gets hot then the filament gets soft and gets eaten. For people with older printer not a big problem to find out. But people coming from a bambu lab or there first printer is a k2 plus the trouble shooting is difficult. answers they get from people who already assume that you have experience and have already looked into this. does not mean that this all applies to your problem but I notice that most simple solutions (for me) are often not tried yet and solve the problem. they try everything that is said which causes more problems. with my ender 3 years ago I sometimes just threw it aside for 3 months and on a nice day I try something and it worked that you think how then. Have printed almost every mode for my ender 3, ender 3 s1, ender 3 s1 pro and the are stil working great the ar only a little slow when you want almost the same quality like the k2 the k2 is 6 times faster in most cases. Hope creality wil fix your problems my experience with the aftersales mail contact ar really good for a company on the other side of the world. after the Chinese New Year the response within 24 hours and al the parts where granted under warranty and got them within 10 working days. The last mail i got the told me to use the same ticket again to claim any warranty or for any trouble shooting so the got al the information ready to fix it quickly.
Just wanted to say, that in addition to a “thumbs up” button here, we need a “cry” or “empathize” button, because your experience is truly cringe-worthy.
There are users here whom rave about the K2+ being a great machine - can only assume that some of us have gotten a lemon (or two.) There should be a special prize for getting two lemons in a row…
Is the z screw separate from the motor? One of mine is bent and I bought it used from someone so warranty is not possible and by the sounds of it support won’t be very helpful. Trying to source some parts on my own to resolve this.
