K2 Plus extruder gear missing markings

So another QC concern on the K2 plus. Although it has zero bearing on the functionality of the machine but my moto is if you miss the small stuff when assembling a complex machine what does that say about the big stuff you need to focus on?

This being my first Creality machine did not want to believe the haters and their concerns regarding quality but at this point have to say I think they were right.

The gear that shows that filament is extruding is missing the green markings. How does this escape QC #Creality ?

Was it supposed to have green markings? Mine doesn’t have any markings either. I’m tempted to just sharpie a couple of lines on there so it’s a little more obvious when it moves.

All the literature and videos I’ve seen show the markings. But yes sharpie would work I guess but point I’m getting at is you would think Creality would have learnt from K1 series and implement lessons learnt into K2.

Great product but it is being spoilt once again by stupid QC oversights and the customer at the end of the day is the one having to do “work arounds” to fix issues.

Customers should not have to be Creality’s QC department or barometer for what is happening in the field!

I had to clear a jam from my extruder and found the markings are there, they just put the gear with markings on the wrong side. I switched the gears and now is as shown in pictures

Excellent will give it a go. Hopefully mine has the markings on the other side.

Checked this morning. Both gears the same. Going to rack this down to another “quality control” issue I guess. @CREALITY can you send me another gear please so that it conforms to the original design of your product please!

Same here, no markings! Grrr

Cant tell if you being facesious or not, but you let small things like this slide Creality will never get their act together! It’s a lot of money to pay for quality like this. This is my second K2 machine.

Im a bit annoyed! Hence grrrr. Bears growl! I took it apart to clear a clog. Used a Sharpie to add some dots, but they are too faint.

Understood. Funny thing g is my first unit which was a stand alone K2 had the markings, but was riddled with quality issues. Second unit (combo) has no markings on the gear.

Wierd. Wonder if @CREALITY could comment?
