Hello Everyone,
I have a K2 Plus Combo with about 350 hours on it. It had about 100 problem free hours and, when it works, out performs all of my many Bambu printers. Lately I have been having constant extruder and feed errors. Most of the time, when I open the extruder, the filament is just sitting at the top and not stuck, but periodically it is stuck, damaged, and wrapped around one of the wheels.
Sometimes I get 6 or 7 hours into a print before a failure and other times I don’t even get through a single layer. No other errors accompany the FO0528 unless something else happens, they are usually related to the CFS
Troubleshooting so far:
Replaced entire extruder with a brand new Creality one
I replaced the spring in the extruder after an unfortunate mishap where the original one went flying. I later found the original spring so I have both to mess around with, the error occurs with either spring.
Cut a single loop off of the CFS spring that is known to cause issues, no change
Tried different filaments and brands including Creality Hyper PLA
Updated Creality Print to most current 6.1.1xx version
Checked for Firmware updates
Factory reset printer
auto calibrated multiple times
I reached out to Creality via WhatsApp but haven’t heard back in over 24 hours.
The same thing happens to me, I have 2 k2 plus and the same thing happens with both of them, I think it’s an issue with the bed that deforms a lot at different temperatures or with the z offset… I also have two bambu lab x1c and I’ve never, never, never had a problem… I’m thinking of selling my 2 k2 plus and buying 1 hd2…
My bed mesh is pretty stable across the temperatures, I have it down to 0.5xxmm variance which is improved from the 0.8 it was at from the factory. I’m considering buying a graphite bed to eliminate that problem, but it printed fine for a long time so I’m hesitant to think that’s a the sole problem.
For what it’s worth, I have 4 P1S, and H2D and another H2D on the way. The H2D is nice, but not without it’s issues as well. Bambu is way behind the ball on support for it and a bunch of the presets are still unavailable, especially for the HF nozzles. I have an item I sell that it works really well for, but if I wasn’t selling a item that is primarily two colors, it wouldn’t be worth the money unless you absolutely need the build volume. For my item, I save 14 hours and about 500g of filament per item so it’s more than worth it. It would be really nice if it would print without the prime tower, it is required for quality prints.
Bambu is also downgrading firmware on it because of some errors causing the print head to collide with the sides causing irreparable damage to the head.
Feel free to message me if you want to discuss the H2D, this is a Creality forum and the H2D is way of topic for my issue so I don’t want to highjack the thread.
I am having the same issue with my K2 Plus. It worked great for about 200 hours of prints. No issues at all. Now it gives me the FO0528 error on almost every print. Especially right after a color change. Were you able to resolve your issue? If so, how?
I’m also having a similar problem with my K2 Plus. I can print PLA without an issue… only hitting the extruder issues when trying PETG. I thought it was either a wet or bad spool but I got it dried to 20%RH for 48 hours in my CFS. Usually hits around layer 2 but I happened to be babysitting the printer and managed to get up to around layer 8 so I walked away… only to get the failure on layer 11. It hit me that I had my door open for the first 8 layers and closed it when I walked away. So I tried one more time and decided to take the glass top off and leave the door open. Voila! Print succeeded!
Only difference I can see is that the chamber temp gets a little too warm and perhaps there’s a little too much heat creep above the hot end heat break? The filament was getting too warm and bunching up between the top of the nozzle and the extruder gears. The chamber had been running in the mid to upper 30’sC but was a nice and stable 26C when I had the door open and the top off.
It’s only one successful print thus far so the sample size is small… but worth a shot if you’re trying PETG and getting the fo0528 error. Hope this helps!
I am having the same issue… My K2P is brand new and it has failed every print so far with this error. Has there been a fix found for this or should I be sending this thing back for a refund?
