Hi All,
I received a few front extruder assemblies from Creality today and noted that the screws that come with them are of no use whatsoever. I guess they are packaging them incorrectly.
I have contacted them but be aware, hang on to those existing screws as the shoulders are important.
PS the first extruder I received 6 weeks ago had the correct screws. So it appears to be a batch thing.
Are they the same thread diameter (M3?) but different lengths? Just wondering if there has been a minor design iteration over the time of the printers hitting the market.
@Bonfireman
The screws are 3mm thread.
The problem is that both screws are identical but the extruder front that is supplied with them is identical to the original and demands different length screws together with a shoulder of a different length.
I have attached a photo showing how far the screws enter. The extruder front is the one that came with the screws.
The top left hole will NOT allow the screw to pass thru the extruder at all. (due to having a shoulder)
The lower right has too long a shoulder and again will not pass thru to allow connection to the extruder back half.
If there is a modified version that would be great but they could get it right. I also noticed that the part numbers are the same. Their wiki shows the different screws.
