This is my first time to post on the forum. I’m trying to find out why my K2 Pro stopped working after the V7.2.1.5476 update.
It was working find as I was printing. It alerted me to an update so, of course I did this. Now nothing will work. It won’t find my printer, it won’t load the Device Screen, It tells me my Microsoft Edge can’t read and write to it’s data directory, which doesn’t make sense, it’s on the C:\
I saw a few posts that stated, uninstall old software and then go back and reinstall the new version, which I did. This does nothing, same data directory error.
I’m at a loss and appreciate any help I can get. The program works perfectly fine from my phone, camera view, everything. It’s everything on the desktop that has stopped.
I got the same problem but I rolled back to creality print 7.1.0.4414 and it works again. The only reason I did the upgrade is because the popup said it fixed the camera not working which is really strange as my camera in 7.1.0.4414 had been working and suddenly stopped despite me not upgrading creality print or the firmware on my K2 plus - so I must assume that the camera functionality somehow goes through software on creality’s side that got changed.
So in summary I can say that the new 7.2.1 does fix the camera not working by making the entire printer not working!
Thank you for sharing. I’m glad I’m not the only one this is happening to. I though it was a computer error on my part. I rolled back to the most previous version as well, just to be able to print again. I don’t have the camera view on the desktop app, but I can still see it on the phone app.
An update I managed to install the new version of creality print correctly and resolved those edge errors.
I rebooted in safe mode and deleted all files in the temp folder - this entailed me having to even change the ownership of some folders in there but that a windows thing.
Once that was done I downloaded the latest version of creality print from their github repo and installed it this time everything worked.
