Newbie here! Just hit myself a K2 combo and assumed it had RFID……was I imagining it or is the only one the higher K2 models? I can see the RFID spool reader and I have to “tell” the printer what it’s got……just a sanity check!

Which K2 did you get. I know the K2 Plus has it. Are you buying Creality RFID filament? It has to have a RFID chip on the spool.
If not It is possible to buy, on Amazon, and make them with an Android. There are videos on You tube on how to do it.

Welcome to the Creality Forum…! 
If you got the Creality K2 it does not not have an RFID reader for the external spool like the K2 Pro or the Plus.
The CFS has an RFID reader for each spool but the spools themselves have to have a compatible RFID tag on them otherwise you will have to set information manually. Not all tags are compatible.
Do a search on this forum for RFID compatible tags for more info.
