K2 Waiste of Money DO NOT BUY

Door hinge was broken upon deliver along with one of the legs was sheared off. Upon 1st time turning on have had to errors XS2001 and CM2798 pop up. no help for Creality except check cables for CM2798 error code. Unable to see if cable are plugged in since its ALL ENCLOSED and they didn’t give me instructions on how to check. Nothing on XS2001 and its been over a week now. They have stopped answering emails and phone calls. Next step courts for product liability no help with XS2001 and just check CM2798 cables so no real remedy offered.

Update finally made contact with a live person however as usual was usable to help and forwarded my request for refund or replacement to a person who can make a decision. They told me they will get back to me in 2-3 days. Time will tell if they do.

Must say that I did not have such issues. No problems, broken or missing items.

Then you are one of the lucky ones, I don’t have the CM2798 error, but I do have other problems, I already regret the purchase because the printer just sits there and I can’t use it at all.

you are not able to check the plugs because it is installed? phew…

Sounds like it got some rough treatment from the delivery company. To check the plugs you need to remove the back and check the plugs havent worked there way loose with the rough handling. This video shows a full board replacement, but you can see how to remove the back and where the plugs are https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xpgVKE8P2pI

My opinion of the K2plus is its the best printer Creality have made. The prints off it are amazingly smooth. Bare with it once all the delivery problems are sorted out youll have a fantastic printer

Time will tell, certainly seems that way. My biggest concern is over complexity and fault finding when something inevitably does go wrong.

Thank you for the link, you have been more help than Creality. After asking how twice the only responce back I got was check cable without an explanation on how.

When I received mine, I noticed that the plastic braces at the base where the feed were had been cracked due to bouncing but mine was fine out of the box.
Did you buy the delivery insurance with it? Sounds like it had a rough ride to your home as previously mentioned. If not, you may have recourse with your credit card company.
I believe AMEX has a policy to cover these things in certain circumstances and also doubles the warranty on purchases up to a max of 5 years. Not sure if VISA/MC/DISC have similar but worth a check.
Anyway, I hope it all works out. It really is a nice machine.

How did it go did you find any loose connections?

I had similar issues, had to remove the back panel and check all the cables. I tested it before I reassembled the back panel and it worked. There is actually a video on Youtube on how to do this if you search for it by error code you’ll probably find it. The machine is not without its issues.

Startup Error code

My order included (opt out?) Seel shipping insurance for like an extra $50 or so and a disclaimer to contact them if there is any damage or loss incurred during the shipment. I trust Creality more than them to guarantee Customer satisfaction, but FWIW here is the info: Package Protection Policy Summary

:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:Yeah don’t buy it, its terrible :joy:, save the remaining inventory for me
FWIW, my unit has been flawlessly printing in glorious color near continuous since installed.

Same here!!! I love my units. The only issues I’ve encountered have been user error :joy:

Anyone who says their machine is perfect are one of 4 people. One they hardly ever use it. 2 they don’t own one. 3 They are drunk when posting. 4 very lucky and should look for leprechaun hiding in a closet.

2 of my 4 printers made it to me without a scratch. One was DOA out the box. 2nd one well I have had many issues with and must have wasted several hundred dollars on filament. And not so much as a yard of filament offered in return.

The printer is amazing but it might as well be made of glass. It breaks for so many stupid reasons. Now the CFS is giving me crap. But I have bought enough parts along the way that I will be able to keep this going long time after its discontinued. LOL

Leekay07, or 5. They work for Creality.

Not Iron3Dad though, he works at Bamboo :joy:

He doesn’t really, I just had to have a dig.

Cheers.

@Leekay07 Hey now!! I’ll have you know my leprechaun has been upgraded to a corner suite next to the filament dryer. He only drinks on days that end in “Y”… which might explain a few calibration issues

Between the filament fumes, IPA on warm beds, and the occasional stare into the void while watching a failed print spaghetti itself into modern art… yeah, I’ve definitely sacrificed a few brain cells. :joy: So maybe my success is actually hysteria and delirium re-masking itself as bliss!

@Radical_Data HOW DARE YOU. I’d never stoop so low as to work for Bambu. I’d rather manually level an Ender 3 bed with a butter knife. Twice. :joy:

But hey, full transparency - door on my second K2 fell off right out of the box. That was its own little bonding moment between me and the printer (literally). I glued it back on like a proud dad fixing a LEGO tower after a toddler rage moment. :muscle:
