Hello all Just got our first 3d printer and laser module … why not go for broke on the first attempt with this crafting stuff … anyways has anyone engineered a Z stop or lift or brace yet ?
The closest I have come up with so far is powering on the printer and moving z axis up and holding it there.
Besides the z axis thing what are people doing for a cutting bed … Im borderline on getting wood/plastic that is thick enough to not burn through laser on first pass ( 5 W ) and is also cheap to replace … as above and will keep the build plate and the magnetic surface safe from damage …
right now my basic theory is on how i will operate is since its a seperate control unit taking the module off
