HI, i managed to find the creality upgrade kit for the k1/k1c so it uses the lidar system. the first layer check sometimes qworks correctly but it will not do the pressure advance check with the wavy lines and says the error message - current file does no support flow detection.
has anyone else done the upgrade and have any idea what it needs other than maybe a changed firmware? maybe the beds not long enough compared to the k1 max and its not setup for the k1? i know im probably wasting my time but i hate to give up on a project when im so close to success ><
I’d like to know how to enable AI LiDARr on the K1C as well. Even on Creality’s sales page when you compare the models it shows AI LiDAR for the K1C as an option and standard on the K1 Max. So, if it’s an option Creality, where is the kit and how do you install/enable it?
use Lidar on the K1. To do this I had to keep an old software release (I think 1.3.22) and insert the same code that Creality Print uses into the slicer, into the start gcode (apparently useless code that starts with #). In fact it is read by my k1 and executed by enabling the lidar but only by launching the prints from the touch panel.
Hi,
I bought the AI Lidar Sensor for AliExpress and had done the USB connection from the motherboard to the printhead board and further the connection to the sensor. I was able to enable the AI settings on the panel of my K1C.
But the printer does not use the sensor. Even when print is started from panel with calibration checked or from Creality Print with the calibration checked.
I never saw any activity of the sensor as show in many YouTube videos with K1 Max.
It seems that the printer just ignores the existence of the sensor.
Any examples which GCode has to be inserted (with comment signs) to start using it as described in this thread with the K1?
