Just got this as a replacement for my Ender 3. It makes some loud clunks which worry me. I’ve attached a video here so I can get your opinions.
At the start of printing the bed moves up to just about an inch below the hot end. It then stops and slowly starts moving up. At which point you hear a loud clunk then it continues on and prints out whatever the item is.
It does some other clunks during use but this is the worst. I’ve raised a return request but besides this and a couple of niggles I’m happy with it.
Is this normal? Should I return the printer while I can?
Funny. I just came to that conclusion myself. I had already arranged a return but I’m very disappointed in Creality. My Ender 3 was basic but I had less problems than I have with this from the poor instructions on basic use to the lack of response from support.
Not sure where to go from here but a new journey is starting.
As an aside I looked at the side that I thought the clunk was coming from. The bracket at the top is being hit by the arm on the screw thread as it comes to the top and it pushes it out of the way. The bracket appears to be deformed. As it was something you don’t touch when unpacking I’m happy it wasn’t something I did.
