I got my filament and machine (k2 & cfs) from creality three weeks ago. The fist few prints were great running off the spool holder using the filamentthat came with the printer until the 4 color set came in. I was able to load all four pla colors into the cfs and ran the multi-color benchy that was in the system already.
I have not been able to load any other filament since that first multi-color print. Every time it tries to load, it flushes out the old just fine and then it won’t move any more. The cfs locks up and doesn’t help push more through. This happens on all four slots. I have tried moving them to different spots, pulling out what’s in there and clipping off anything with motor marks on it and reinserting,
The machine just keeps saying the extruder is clogged even tho it flushes out the old filament just fine then it’ll say it’s having retracting problems while retracting just fine.
Everything works great when using spool holder. I can swap out different filaments with no problem.
I’ll check the buffer and the motors in the cfs but the cutter works fine. I can swap out whatever filament I want using the spool holder, it just won’t work right with the cfs
I only use the spool holder or I use the cfs, not both.
When i use the spool holder, I disconnect the cfs and vice versa.
The LEDs all light up when they are suppose to.
The only thing I can think of is that the motors in the cfs don’t feed more filament into the machine when it’s trying to flush the old filament. They’re locked up while the Extruder is trying to pull more into it. Is this a buffer issue or is this a cfs issue?
Can I bypass the buffer some way? I only have one cfs so I don’t think it’s absolutely necessary.
