Manually heat up the Ender 3 V3 SE

I have had an Ender 3 V3 SE for a year and out of the blue it shows temperature alarm for BOTH bed and nozzle.
The screen shows -14, bed/nozzle won’t heat up. Surrounding temperature is 18-20 degrees C,
However, if I use a heatgun and heat the darn thing over a certain treshhold - the thermistors kick in and everything works.
But really, do not expect me to use a heatgun for every print.
What can be the cause for this and how to fix it?
My own thought is the MB but I am not an expert - Creality is.

Firmware 1.06

In the prepare menu you can preheat PLA, what does it say when you select that?

will it allow you to do a PID tune

Thank you both for the quick response. I feel a bit stupid but confirming the PLA settings does heat up both elements. Did a PID tune as well. So, no more complaining frpm me.

Sorry, the problem persists. In the clip you see that the temperature is -14 for both and the heating sign flashes (nozzle is chosen). Heat the PLA in prepare gives an instant alarm as there’s no delay in the bed temperature message. If I heat up the printer by hand (takes 30 minutes) the thing comes to life. I Tried firmware 1.04 to no avail, back to 1.06 now.
Can it be the main board? Any suggestions are very welcome.

Problem solved, new MB
