Can the Forum Expert team get the opportunity to trial and beta-test the new K3 ahead of the Q3 release?
Having the expert team get hands-on experience early would be incredibly valuable for the community. It allows us to thoroughly understand the new KliTek™ system, multi-material TPU handling, and dual-nozzle coordination so we are fully equipped to handle troubleshooting, answer technical questions, and support the community’s Q&A right from day one!
I am looking forward to the CMYK full- spectrum printing, but also concerned about longevity of the head and nozzles given the amount of swaps that need to occur to make brown from red and green filaments.
I’m also excited to see the machine run TPU, as I’ve had terrible luck trying to get this material to print without extruder issues on all my machines, K2 Plus, SPARKX, and a competitor machine.
I’ve got space next to my K2 plus if I could trial/beta/pioneer the machine that would be great. I do have the available time and knowledge to provide insight from a user perspective. Video from unboxing to first print to initial thoughts. I’ve done several 8 color builds with my K2 Plus and would love to run one of the prints side by side with the K3 for a speed and quality comparison.
i definitely want to see how this was resolved, there have been many mostly unsuccessful attempts in the past to solve the slicer settings for this, as this is a software constraint and not a hardware one, and until now it’s not been resolved, the attempts on the prusa xl are not consistent and reliable, so definitely keen to see if this is indeed solved in creality print
less waste is always a great thing in an industry and the multicolour and multiHardness tpu along with the 0.4 nozzle and 0.8mm nozzle,it will be amazing to play around with different layer heights and texture patterns AND materials to get some great surface texture finished prints and some intricate multimaterial designs.
also super excited about full spectrum, glad Creality kept up with the movement there as i know that will bring ease to colour printing, saving on space as you can achieve most ccolours with the 4 colour filament setup and it saves on cost of buying each colour individually.
my question is, are all these upgrades expected with the next printer release (the k3)?
what is the machine being marketed as? a smart tool head or a multipurpose, multifunction print machine?
I have several questions; I would like more information regarding:
CMYK, and whether this will also be included in the slicer later on, meaning users will need to perform a sort of plug-and-play operation to achieve this result?
Then, of course, I have the question about waste; personally, I think this is the most important thing right now… especially when compared to similar printers.
Thanks in advance, and I hope to see this almost Alien-like device working in real life soon.
With multiple extruders come multiple filament paths. How do you propose to prevent a “plumbers nightmare” at the back of the printer? Are you thinking of something like a CFS per path or some other solution
