Can I print with the Creality K1 Max metal filament, if so, which one and where from. I would be very happy about your help.
Are we talking loaded metal aesthetic so it looks like metal or post print sintered parts that become metal only?
I mean normal Filament with Metalpowder, f. all you understand me
Hardened nozzles like you would for printing CF materials for sure. BASF Ultrafuse 316L (not cheap) can be printed on an FDM machine, but there is a fair bit of post processing (not cheap) to get the metal part. Copper loaded PLA for extra glitteriness is just that, an aesthetic addition.
I believe with “BASF Ultrafuse 316L” you also have to take into account the end product size.
Due to post processing, the object is smaller than the original print.
This can be a costly mistake if not factored in.
Cheers.
Yes you have to scale it to 120% to take into account shrinkage and yes very expensive material. A sister company to the one that employs me is looking to print Titanium parts, I’m helping them pick a machine.
Oooooh, I am guessing that will be most fun.
Any thoughts of yet as to what you will suggest ?
Do you get to take it home on weekends ?
Cheers.
Depends how deep their pockets go, but it won’t be coming home at weekends, no room left at the inn.
