Has anyone done that? I want the camera to be as close to the action as possible. I’ve tried the tripod and a couple of locations using printable camera mounts but I still don’t like the outcome of the videos. I’d like to try to mount in on the extruder head if it can take good video moving. Not sure how close you can get with it and what the actual focal length is. I’ll try and make something but was wondering if anyone has done it before.
Found a file - Guess I’ll print one out and see how it works:
I don’t which ender 3 is that ![]()
but when I tried with the Ender 3V3 XZ, it was horrible. It was blurred, hard to follow and timelapses were not good at all !
So following the whole mouvement of the head, I wouldn’t recommend it
Following only the Z-axis, it was ok though
The file I downloaded has a video and it looks good and is the angle I’ve been looking for. Printing it now. Good thing if it’s horrible I still have the side z-axis mount and the left side stationary mount I’ve already printed. I’ll let you know how it turns out.
UPDATE: The video is not bad. Good focus and pretty stable. Still not convinced this is the view I want. I’ll post up a video when I can. I’ll put a side view video and the extruder head video in one file for comparison.
