Moving to a K2

Hi,

I have had an Ender3 v3 KE for about 18 months and I think it’s fabulous!

However I am really thinking about buying a K2 as I really want a closed cabinet and the built in cameras and possibly a sight increase in print speed.

I love the simplicity and reliability of the ender. My question to K2 users is am I likely to miss the ender? If so what do you think if miss about it?

Absolutely not I love my k2 combo came from ender 3 v3 se and ke not much time I haven’t been printing

Hi! I’m using the K2 Pro with the CFS unit (Combo version), and I really like it as well.

Keep in mind that the K2’s chamber is not heated and the construction is mostly plastic. The K2 Pro version has a metal enclosure with heated chamber.

You can find more information on the Creality K2 page, where there is a comparison of all K2 series models.

I also highly recommend getting the CFS. It allows you not only to print in multiple colors, but also to keep your four most-used filaments ready to use and easily select between them when starting a single-color print. That’s why I’m planning to get a second CFS.

K2 Series comparision is on the bottom of this page: K2 Series 3D Printer - Creality

I upgraded from a K1C and definitely don’t miss it. I have the K2Pro bundle and agree that the CFS is an excellent add on making multi colour prints a breeze. The best improvement over the K1C is with the bed levelling.

Hi

Thanks for the responses that makes me more confident of the move!

I hadn’t realised the differences between K2 and pro. I wonder if the frame stability is better in the pro due to its construction material?

I mainly print structural parts so I hadn’t thought about the CFS system. I like the multi print material on the go option but part of me thinks it’s just something else to go wrong!

Is it easy to remove a CFS and print single material if it fails? Does it tie you to creality print as a slicer? I use creality print anyway as I’ve found it convenient and reliable but choice is always good.

I didn’t use regular K2, only have K2 Pro so I don’t know, but I think it could have impact. Especially if the ground is not stable enough.

I mainly print single color, but as I said before you can manage many filaments with CFS and you can forget about changing filaments, also you can print many objects with different filaments on the same plate (print by object - AMAZING)

You can by just the printer, and then go for the CFS. Combo version is the same printer with CFS unit, you still got the spool holder in the box. CFS doesn’t tie to the creality cloud, it’s just related to the printer.

Many thanks - just waiting on a good discount code now🤞

So creality offer a bunch of discount codes. These work until check out and then get removed!

Also I can’t seem to remove the “worry free” delivery! Buying in a credit card I don’t need any protection!

Anyone else having the same difficulty?

Paying full price isn’t a problem - but disappointing
