So far I’ve had my K2 Plus for about a week and I’m enjoying it a lot.
I’ve only had a few errors like CA2710(Belt Tension module abnormal) which showed during its first time set-up but after doing a firmware update and making it do the tests again they all passed.
The other was the filament not feeding properly but I realized that was because I originally did not install the CFS buffer as I did not intend to use more than one but it seems to need the buffer to work properly as once I installed it I no longer had a feeding issue.
Ok so now to my thoughts and some ideas on the interface and CFS that I think could be fixed with simple updates.
- The software works well but I do find it a bit slow when you press the screen.
- It would be nice to make a folder system to put projects into to keep them organised, sort of like what was on the sonic pad
- An option to feed from another roll if the current roll runs out. I know it can change to a filament of the same type but it would be nice to tell it to just use another filament instead in case I want to use another roll in the CFS and don’t care about if its a different colour or might be a different brand I’m changing to.
- Maybe Creality could release a pack of RFID stickers that just give the roll a Generic name and you choose the colour on screen (or maybe you get a pack of multiple stickers with different colours) that we can slap on the side of other brand rolls so they will still work with the RFID system.
- The CFS system is a bit loud when it changing filament this might not be bad for print farm set ups. unfortunately I’m in a small unit and this is very noticeable. hopefully the next version of the CFS might not be as loud
Well that’s all I’ve got to say on the K2 And CFS for now. but all in all its a very nice printer and the quality and speed and print size is amazing and I will be giving it some good use!
