Nebula pad not working after restart

Hey there!

I also just bought a Nebula Smart Kit and it is causing me quite a few problems with my Ender 3 V3 SE. I’ve been able to fix some of them with the help of forums like this, but now I’m stuck again with a big problem: after fully setting up the pad, everything works, but when I turn the printer off and on again, it resets completely!

I really don’t know how to fix this and I’m really frustrated about it…

By the way: I haven’t connected the G-Sensor yet, so the Nebula Pad is only connected to the printer by a cable; I have flashed the printer with the ender 3 v3 se software; The pad is running on the latest version (I tried to install the oldest version, but it only bricked my pad).

If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this, I would really appreciate it.

I also have it from aliexpress but I don’t understand how you solved it? Did you also have the problem that the printer reset after restarting? @ryansalt

Nope, I’m still trying to fix it… I bought mine from amazon.

I haven’t fixed it, I’ve been resetting factory settings and setting up the printer on every restart.

I got in touch with the vendor on AliExpress and told them the pad loads up into a factory test screen and they said they would send a new one out, so I’m currently waiting for that

At least you are getting a replacement, there are some suppliers that honour guarantees even on Aliexpress.

Hello everybody!
I fix the same problem on my Nebula Pad with Ender 3 v3 SE!
First of all I flashed original ingenic file from this comment using this manual. Pay attention on versions of the usb driver and cloner software. You should use cloner version 2.5.18 but install driver from cloner version 2.5.36.1 package.
After flashing your Nebula will run on original firware 1.1.0.26.
Insert SD or TF card with original printer firmware from Nebula download page (download archive 3D Print Firmware.zip and put file Ender3V3SE firmware.bin from archive on your SD or TF card) into slot on printer. Сonnect Nebula and turn on your printer.
Complete all steps required for the first start Nebula. When printer self calibration will finished and you seen home screen DO NOT RESTART PRINTER OR NEBULA!!!
Now the most important step: you need to upgrade Nebula firmware to 1.1.0.27. In my case I used pre rooted image from here (see “Pre Rooted file” in bottom of page). You can try to use original firmware, maybe it will works too I don,t check it.
Put image in root directory of USB stick and connect it to Nebula. After update Nebula restarts and show you screen you can see on photo.


Don’t panic it’s OK! Just press button in top left conner of screen and MAGIC! Your Nebula starts, connect the printer and works!

If you use pre rotted image now you can connect SSH (login root password creality) and run command sh ./installer.sh to install helper script.

In next reboot you will see the same screen and should press the same button but all your changes will saved.

Got my replacement from Ali express today, plugged it in, inserted usb with latest nebula firmware on. Completed the update and had the same message in Chinese ‘machine is starting’, waited for the options of ‘fault reporting’ or ‘restart, selected fault reporting, found factory restart in settings in Chinese lol competed reset, and completed self testing steps and now I can turn my printer on and off with no worries, finally it’s fixed!

If anyone’s nebula pad loads on to the test screen on first boot up, try to get a replacement.

Hello everyone! I’m from Russia and I don’t know English very well.

I have the same problem, after rebooting the Nebula stops working with the printer.
I tried to flash Ingenik, but I couldn’t figure out how to do it

Tasman_D gave links to Reddit, there should be a manual there, but I didn’t find it, only the Ingenik file itself.

I also have a problem with USB, and it seems to me that it is very serious.

I spent quite a long time communicating with the seller on Aliexpress, and in the end he himself offered to send me a new Nebula. Apparently this is a common factory defect
