I recently updated my Ender 3 V3 SE with the Nebula smart kit, and was wondering if there will be a plugin for the Cura slicer any time soon ?
I’ve been using the Cura slicer forever and would like to continue to use it without having to use the Creality Print or Webpage to upload the files.
Would be great to just be able to just “upload to printer” inside Cura, like I do with the Ultimaker I use at work, and also to be able to see my work with camera directly in Cura as well.
Thank you for your support.
Hi,
i have the same disappointment. I used cura before the nebula pad with my 3 v3se. Everything worked fine.
now i have to use the creality slicer… and no print looks good. How can i use cura again after the transformation with nebula smart kit without “root” the nebula pad.
my target was wireless printing the camera and cura. Now i have Creality Print… which is not good working for me.
And there is no good pre pinter setting in Creality Print. not very good support.
Furthermore the printer is no more a “Creality Ender 3 V3 SE”… now it is a “Nebula Pad-1xxx”.
I thought nebula smart kit were an out of the box kit. but with it iam very restricted to creality.
very sad
Even after “rooting” the Nebula pad there is no direct way of using Cura.
But… when you root the pad, you can change a lot of setting to make the printer work as it did before, creating perfect print quality again.
So that is what I did…
I now use Cura again to slice, and use the Fluidd web interface (with camera support and timelapse) of the rooted pad to upload and print.
Hi SkalTura,
Thanks for your reply.
Do you have an easy step by step guide for rooting it? The Youtube video is the one and only source i have found.
But there are not enough infos after the firmware up(/down) grade and the installation of all the content i need to configure the printer. Many cfgs Files are missing on my printer and some addons i have to install with the ssh login on the printer, i cant install because of “no connection to source” problems. so its not possible to complete the root installation of the printer.
thanks for your support
