New here. Need some help with upgrading the ender 3 v2 neo. i finally bought an enclosure for it and got it moved to a better location for temp control. im fixing to take it apart and clean it up after storage for 2 years. what are the newest best upgrades for it. im willing to dump some money into it for direct drive extruder, and z axis upgrade with another motor. And wheres the best places to order them with black friday deals coming up? im fresh new to this and completely forgot most everything i learned and knew before i finally bought a printer. made some decent prints then cold weather hit and i messed up the nozzle and finally ordered new ones a year ago but never got it out of storage to do anything with it. now 2 years later theres newer stuff. i really dont feel like spending alot of time researching and looking all this stuff up again with work and animals and taking care of family. kinda just need some good quick info on best upgrades so i can rebuild it and upgrade everything at once. thanks in advance for any help provided.
Hello @Derk_Crackaway …!
Welcome to the Creality Forum…!
Glad you could join us…
I know if you read through this forum you’ll get some good refresher info…
If I might suggest to get the printer working and get some good prints and then add some upgrades one at a time to make it easier to figure out if somethings not working right.
Many members here get parts from Amazon and Ali Express (if you’re not in a hurry. )
I do not recommend any of the creality control board. I installed BTT E3V3 control boards in both my Ender 3 and Ender V2.
BIGTREETECH SKR MINI E3 V3.0 32 Bit Control Board for Ender 3/Ender 3 – Biqu Equipment I also use the BTT tft 35E3 dual mode display.
BTT TFT35-E3 V3.0.1 Display Touch Screen Two Working Modes – Biqu Equipment
The BTT smart filament detector is also very good. Use a bltouch or crtouch bed levers.
The creality upgrade kit for the extra Z drive and the creality sprit pro direct drive extruder Kit for the ender 3.
You could add a Raspberry pi 3b+ or 4 with octoprint installed, this will allow you to down load prints via WiFi and monitor you prints by a pc or phone.
As jimandyan suggests upgrade in stages.
