Hi everyone,
I need some help figuring out a problem with my 1-week-old Ender 3 V3 KE. This is my very first 3D printer, so I’m quite new to all of this – sorry in advance if this is something I should already know.
Two days ago, I had a failed print. When it finished, I turned off the printer since it was late. There was a bit of loose filament on the tip of the nozzle, but since I’m new to this, I just removed it and powered the printer off once it cooled down.
Yesterday, when I tried to print again, everything seemed normal until the printer started heating up and was about to begin printing. Once the nozzle reached temperature, the extruder gear at the top started clicking, and when the printer began to print, nothing came out of the nozzle. I stopped the print to check what was wrong, but I can’t figure it out.
I read online that some people recommend heating up the nozzle and trying to push filament through manually, so I heated the nozzle to 240°C and tried to feed filament in – but nothing comes out. The extruder gear spins, but it doesn’t actually feed the filament. When I try to pull the filament out from the top, it’s completely stuck.
At this point I’m not sure what to do next. Could it be a clog in the nozzle or heatbreak? Should I try disassembling the hotend, and if so, what’s the best and safest way to do that?
Any guidance or step-by-step advice would be really appreciated. I just want to understand what happened and learn how to fix it properly.
Thanks in advance for any help!
