New Ender 3V3 Plus doesn't show files list on wifi connectoin

I have 2 Ender 3V3 plus printers and I am using the latest Orca slicer, One printer is over a year old and it works perfectly but the new one that has a problem with printing over wifi. The printer connects to the wifi and shows up for most stuff. The only problem is that it will not display the list of files loaded on the printer so that I can’t print from my computer. It will show the “history” files and let me send a print file to the printer, but I need to go to the printer to actually start the print. Both printers say they are running the latest firmware version however the older one is on ver. 1.2.3.23 the the new one is on ver. 1.2.3.28.

Did anyone else have this problem and find a solution for it?

Welcome to the Creality Forum…! Creality-Logo

Sometimes the gcode files in the printer memory take up almost all the space. The Ender-3 V3 printer can store up to 8gb of data but when it gets to that point strange things happen like no display of prints or errors. You might have gotten a warning message about that saying to delete some files to make more room.

Try deleting some of those files and see if that helps. You can also see how much space they are taking up.

I haven’t had this issue though I use Creality Print and not Orca. I have 4 e3v3pluses

I heard this before but in my case there are only about 12 files on the printer, My older printer has close to 100 and it’s working fine

And the problem has existed since the first time I tried to print on it.

It is kind of odd. For the printer that having issue try to do a factory reset. Maybe some of the system file got corrupted or the file path / directory is messing up. It didn’t read or detect the files properly.

I am using Creality Print 7 to upload the file and print it remotely without any issues. Sometime I used Orca and use Fluidd to upload it + remote print.

I did the factory reset. The printer still doesn’t show the files (even the files that were preloaded of the calibration prints).
I installed Creality print 7 and everything seems to work there as far as seeing the files on my computer.

So, my guess is that there is just something in the newest firmware that isn’t allowing Orca to see the files.

This printer has ver. 1.2.3.28 which it says is the latest version. The older printer is on version 1.2.3.23, which it says is the latest version. I’m guessing that is my problem.

I also tried Fluidd and it’s the same problem there. I can control everything, I just can’t see the files.

Fluidd does allow me to see the files on the older printer.
