New installation of CFS - filiment feeds, but then retracts almost fully

Hi there,

As per the title, I have a new installation of the CFS kit on the K1 Max. I insert filament into the first feed on the CFS, it takes it, feeds it about 3/4 way through all the tubes leading to the hot end, stops, and then retracts almost all the way back out. I’ve checked the tube for blockage, but there is none. Tried restarting, running firmware update again, running self-tests again and same results. When I try to feed the filament manually, it comes to a stop about the exit point from the CFS and will not advance any further, so unable to feed manually.

I should also note that I’m not getting any error messages.

Anyone else having this issue?

This is normal behaviour. When you print it will feed the correct spool and print. When printing has finished it will retract. You don’t need to manually feed or retract, it does it all for you.
