New K2 Plus--the extruder motor shorted out...

Hello,

My K2 with CFS failed to print on my 4th print job. I used a PETG filament on a cardboard spool; I should have used the external spool holder instead. It turns out that the cardboard spool deformed, causing the extruder to retract and extrude many times.

In clearing the jam, i had to remove the extruder. The extuder motor came loose and fell out place. When I it put back, it shorted out against something. The printer won’t power up when I turn it on now.

I’m wondering if the motor is shorted or the extruder circuit board; I don’t konw if I should replace both or if something else shorted out.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Following up:

Does anyone know the fuse number and voltage for the mainboard fuse? I’m wondering if it needs to be replaced, but I can’t find any information on Creality’s website.

Thanks.

Mystery Solved! The extruder motor turned out to be good, it was the toolhead circuit board. My printer came roaring back to life when I replaced the circuit board. It took most of 3 weeks to receive the replacement board. I ordered another one just in case.
