Forum Post: Creality K1 “Non‑Stop Pooping” After Failed Prints / Local Files

Title: Creality K1 keeps “non‑stop pooping” filament after failed prints or when starting from local file

Post: Hi everyone, I’m having a serious issue with my Creality K1 and I’m hoping someone here has seen this before.

Whenever I get a failed print, or when I start a print from local storage, the printer begins what I call non‑stop pooping. The extruder moves back and forth over the purge area like it’s going to the “toilet bowl”, poops a bit, moves away, then comes back and poops again. It repeats this cycle endlessly.

Here’s what happens:

  • Extruder goes back and forth over the purge area

  • It extrudes small blobs or long strings repeatedly

  • It stops for a moment, moves out, then returns and starts pooping again

  • I cannot stop it using Stop, Retract, the app, PC, or web interface

  • The only way to stop it is to turn off the printer with the rear power switch

  • If I don’t manually move the print head to the center of the bed, it tries to destroy the purge bowl

  • One time it extruded around 400 grams of filament before I could shut it off

  • It behaves like it wants to empty the entire spool

This happens every single time after:

  • A failed print

  • Starting a print from local files

  • No G‑code shows any extrude command

  • The extruder simply starts extruding on its own and never stops

I also have CFS, so I don’t always have the energy to troubleshoot deeply. Has anyone experienced this? Is it a firmware bug, a stuck motion buffer, or a corrupted job queue inside the K1?

Any tips or fixes would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards, Stålt – frustrated Creality K1 owner

I don’t have a fix for it but I can sympathize with you as mine was doing the same!

since upgrading to the CFS system I’ve had nothing but issues & my machine currently just sits & collects dust as it doesn’t work :face_with_peeking_eye:
