I have had an Ender 3 Ve KE printer for 2 months and it worked perfectly until 2 weeks ago.
It indicated to me that the nozzle temperature was not correct. When extruding the wire the temperature does not rise. The heater or the probe fails. I sent the report to customer service and the answer is that they cannot attend until February 24-25 since it is the New Year in China. Really an eternity.
Can you advise me if it can be solved? Could it be some other cause?
under the silicone sock there is a thermistor, firstly check that it is connected properly, no broken wires. The ceramic heater carry out the same checks. Found that you can get a heater and thermistor only off of Amazon normally a new hotend assembly is the advise but those could be a cheaper repair.
Hi,
Thanks for your quick response.
I removed the protective cover without removing the silicone protector, nothing is visible, I touched some white wires, which I assume are the heater power supply, and they are fine. It’s scary to touch and move the mechanical parts because the machine is only 2 months old and is under warranty. I wouldn’t want them to tell me that I lose the warranty.
I looked at the Creality store and for this KE model there are three types of heater and none of them say that the thermistor is included, although you can see that 2 pairs of wires come out.
I would have liked to hear that the problem was a software problem and that they did a reset to solve it, I see that they don’t, but I appreciate your time
the connections from the heater and thermistor on the breakout board are hot melt glue gun sealed to the board. After removing the hot melt glue disconnect/reconnect the connections and see if there is still a problem with heating. Although it is glued they can come loose.
Finally Creality has notified me that they are sending a new Ceramic Heating and now I will have to change it. My question is how to remove the seal from the connectors without damaging the board and the connector. How do you advise me to do it?.
I don’t have a technique other than gently and slowly peal it back, in the direction of the wire to the connector so you don’t put strain on the wires.
