A new update to online params came through and updated the 0.2mm nozzle params with the 0.6mm nozzle values. Please revert! There’s no way to revert in Creality Print.
Yikes. That’s not good. Can you manually set them back?? Of course, would need to actually know what they are…
I hope they keep a history, but fundamentally nozzle size = 0.2mm, minimum layer height=0.04mm, maximum layer height=0.16mm I think is reasonable. I had to create a custom profile for now.
That’s what I’d do, but we can’t be having this happen to the Casual User
Wow, it’s bad enough that for all their profiles, every printer, they have set the Epoxy Resin bed temperatures to zero, and now this.
It can be fixed albeit temporarily until the next update, they are all stored in your Windows profile under %APPDATA%\Creality\Creality Print\6.0\system\Creality\filament
(I think it’s %APPDATA%
, but I’m away from my PC at the moment). As an example, search for CR-ABS @Creality K2 Plus 0.2 nozzle.json
to find them.
Make sure to close CrealityPrint, then edit the file(s) and start up again, but like I said when there’s another update the files all get replaced.
That’d be me. This is exactly why I wait a month before installing any new updates to CP or to the printer/CFS itself—to let the new problems shake out first.
I’ve been having terrific success printing using the factory presets for ABS, PLA and PETG so far and I’d hate to risk all that with a wonky software update. Then again, being a casual user, I might not know that my prints should be coming out better than they actually are.
I created a user copy of the printer profile and copied the settings from another machine that had not had the profiles updated yet. Not everyone will have this luxury, though.
Looks like v3.9.1 was published today and it fixes this issue for the K2 Plus (although I think the Creality Hi profile still has this problem)!
