Otter lite bridge, phone connected to bridge, in app Device not connected

December 2025 I bought my Otter Lite with Lite Bridge.

Nice product.

However, after (successfully) installing new firmware and software, I encounter a problem: in Android app I keep seeing:

Device Not Connected

Until recently I used the Otter lite with both WiFi and USB cable connected to Android phone or Windows 11 computer. All 4 combinations worked properly.

Now, unfortunately, it does not work so great anymore. To be sure I Downloaded and installed all newest firmware and software.

What does still work:

Otter Lite connected with USB to computer

Otter Lite Bridge connected to Windows 11 computer via WiFi (i had to create a WiFi Password)

Both phones can connect to the bridge hotspot (with password). Both phones get a valid IP adressen. When using browser to go to the IP of the bridge, I get a login screen (username root, password I don’t know) so most definitely the phones can connect to the bridge

So, WiFi in Bridge still works

What does not work anymore:

Connecting to Android phones with USB cable, but that is done by creality to prevent battery damage on the phones, so no issue here.

But I can’t use my phones to scan while connected wireless to the bridge.

Both phones did work with the bridge before, so it should work

One phone has a SIM card for my provider. Used airplane mode as suggested here and there to prevent having mixed up communication.

Other phone isn’t used for calling anymore and has no way to connect to a provider.

Both phones have access to camera, mic and location. So also all okay here

Forced stopped the app, Cleared cache, cleared memory and uninstalled the app. Reboot, installatie app again… no luck

One other thing:

Blue light goes green (as it should) when connected to the computer but keeps flashing blue when connected to either Android phone

Computer:

Windows 11 with Creality scan 4.2.2

Android 15 and 14 with Creality scan 3.0.2 12GB RAM each

Otter Lite with firmware 1.2.5

Otter Lite Bridge with firmware 1.1.3

Please help

I don’t have the Otter Lite but the normal Otter only, so I asked someone who works for the tech support at Creality, they said:

Could you please ask him to install the v3.0.1 app and check if it works? https://drive.google.com/file/d/16Vp3sY90HCeBC4zA3Wu0OldTePG6QPwz/view?usp=drive_link

Exactly the same situation here. I have no idea how to fix it.

Can you also try the other app version and report back?

Thank you for your reply.

I downloaded the APK and tried to install it (of course developer activated and accepted to install from ‘unknown parties’.

Unfortunately the install ends with (freely translated) ‘CrealityScan. App is not installed, not valid package’

Second opinion:

After forced stopping the 3.0.2 version of CrealityScan, then clearing cache and memory, and lastly installing the currently installed 3.0.2, I tried to install your 3.0.1 again and……. It works!!!

thank you and your friend so much!

They ask which phone this is and which Android version exactly. You can use the 3.0.1 version temporarily.

Ulefone Armor 28T Ultra and 18T Ultra

I’ll tell them maybe it helps fixing the standard version for this phone.

Could you please test the updated version and say if it works, they sent this today:

our tech develop a new package which may be able to fix the connection problem on v3.0.2, could you please help and send the apk file to the customers? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UaLb9JQk5fY03QYJsCyh46n-cASzjKeI/view?usp=sharing

I don’t know why but I don’t see my reaction I posted last night.

Installed the app. But would not connect.

However, some things went strange last week: The WiFi-password one has to create (safety things which Android wants these days) also acted weird. Entering new password on Windows went okay. But Android seemed to have it’s own mind. For some reason I also could not create a password in Android (so after resetting password on the Bridge via the play button) did not appear.

After your new 3.0.2 I could not connect. So I resetted the password. This time I used my phone (no Windows usage). The ‘create password screen’ did appear on my phone and worked. So entering the password twice, the bridge rebooted, to connect I had to insert the password in my phone to connect. And…. it worked (still does)

So this 3.0.2 does even more good things!

To me it looks like the password thing has been the problem. Phone did connect to bridge but light kept flashing blue Sometimes a new password (set in Windows) was rejected by the android phone (saying password wrong). When using the previous password on android, the phone would connect but light stays flashing blue. The old password did not work on Windows (anymore) and that makes sense since in Windows a new password was set. But Android thought differently (and never asking to set a password after password reset on the bridge).

Do I make any sense? I hope you get the picture.

Either way: Now, with the new 3.0.2 all seems to work as it should

(btw, after installing the 3.0.2 I was also offered a firmware, I think 1.1.3 or something, which I also installed)
