I have heard that on the Sparkx i7, or any multi-color printer, that you can use PLA and PETG together, one for the main model and the other as the support material so supports separate easier.
My conclusion was that it was not really all that helpful, at least on a complex model. Try it yourself, if you are so inclined, and comment below on your results.
Sorry for the “shotgun blast”, we are incentivized as makers to post to multiple places and multiple groups. Reddit, Facebook, Creality Forums, Discord. On here, I only do three groups. And sometimes skip two of them.
Hi Nusha, thank you for sharing. Considering the nature of streaming platforms and social media, a lot of great content tends to get pushed down very quickly and doesn’t have the chance to accumulate as part of a long-term knowledge base. This is one of the main reasons Optimus are putting strong effort into building the forum — to preserve high-value content as structured documentation that can be permanently accessed and referenced by all users.
All articles on the forum clearly credit the author, so your contributions will always be recognized and not overlooked. If you feel your content is worth long-term preservation, I would recommend reorganizing it slightly and publishing a final version on the forum.
