PLA Filament Preferences?

Hello All,

Would anyone like to share their preferences and maybe some preferred settings in general.
Personally, I have been happy with Esun for a number of years and also use Prusa.

My current printer is an Ender-3 V3 SE and with the default settings to suit the PLA (Matt/Silk/etc) I have no problems.

Any suggestions ??

I use Sunlu mostly, on default settings with Creality Print, though I will up the wall count from 2 to 5 for a little more strength and for brass threaded inserts. I have also used the Sunlu recycled PLA filament, a bit more matt than virgin material but prints ok and cheaper. I have a couple of rolls of Elegoo which are ok, but need less flowrate.

Hello Bonfireman,

Thank you for the reply.
I will have a look at Sunlu for my next filament I need.
I too use Creality Print mainly as default. I have tried other slicers but don’t find any advantage with them for what I do.

Cheers.

Hey,I prefer Prusa Pla filament these days, it is easy to finish and can be sanded, primed, and painted to achieve a professional look.

Sunlu and Overture, mostly. Color variety, consistency and overall availability off of Amazon dictates a decent amount of that. Used to, before I got a lot more serious with this, I’d buy Inland stuff. It’s still a good thing and I occasionally buy a spool of it as an Old Reliable.

Thing is? I typically only print prototypes or things like Lithophanes with PLA these days.
