Print not sticking to the bed

Trying to use an Ender - 3 v2 for the first time. The print doesn’t consistantly stick to the bed. Tried cleaning the bed suface, applying hairspray and increasing the temperature a little. Also, the nossle hits the print once it gets going.

Any advice would be appreciated please.

Not sticking to the bed is usually the nozzle is too far from the bed and needs the z-offset adjusting. As for hitting prints, could be a number of things, a lifting print, overextrusion, grid infill or the Z isn’t working properly.

Weeelll…

It would help if we had more info to work with.

  • What filament type are you using? PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA?
  • If you’re not printing PLA or PETG, do you have an enclosure?
  • Are you printing on the coated side of the plate or the smooth un-coated side?
  • If you’re using the coated side, did you ever have a head crash or a drag on the coating? Hopefully, you didn’t hairspray the coating…?
  • Manual or Automated Bed Leveling and Tramming?

While Bonfireman’s LIKELY to be correct there, there’s a handful of nasty gotchas that can have you chasing your tail on a V2.

As for the clipping of prints, the odds are solid your print lifted up on you because of what Bonfireman’s talking about or what I’ve hinted at.

So…so as to help…can you answer the questions I had for you up there?
