My son and my easter contest entry. and the story behind it.
My son had said “wouldn’t it be cool if we could shoot easter eggs”. Thats all it took to get my wheels going, a couple of prototypes (PT) later and we have the Egg-Celerator. The 1st pt had 6 parts, not easy to assemble, only 1 small spring, and the egg did not leave the barrel. Thats when my son threw in the towel. Kids today, lol. I too was going to throw in the towel but i thought what am I teaching him. So back to the drawing board (computer). PT 2 still had 6 parts some intergration was done, this time the egg popped out around a foot at the most. But seeing that my son was ready to get back into the game. So we sat down and redesigned amlost everything. He was the one who said “dad why can’t we print the 2 springs together” then as I moving the parts around in CAD, he said " and the push rod too". so we gave it a try and I was amazed how the part came out. So PT 3, 4 parts quickly assemble/disassemble, no additional harware. The Egg-Celerator lauches the egg 10 ft. feel free to check it out. This is why I bought a Creality Print. It took 4 months to happen but enjoyed every minute of it and hopefully my son got some life lessons too.
