Print speed settings keep resetting to 100%

Whenever I have a thing I want to print for which I feel the quality may be better off by just making it more slowly, or I want to at least make sure that it stays more stable, even with supports, I want to set the printer speed to 50%.

But the printer or the software, something, just overrides any settings or instructions when it starts and goes “Nope. 100% is all you get!” the moment it’s underway. Sometimes I can even manually set it to 50% when I notice that it’s going for the first layer and when I check later it’s back to 100.

How do I get this software/printer (K2) to actually stick to the settings that I put in it when I go to print?

Are you changing it in the slicer? If so the settings you set in the slicer and “g-code” it these settings become your 100% on the printer.
Example - If you change your layer speed from 300mm to 200mm a second and create g-code with the 200 now the 200 will be 100% when looking at the printer. If you change the print speed on the printer from 100% to 50% while printing the printer will slow down to 100mm/sec.
Make sense?

Makes absolute sense. Been tinkering with that on the side as well and I’ve dialed things down a little that feel more stable.
