Printed a couple of these vertical columns in Oct or Nov ‘25. Used the default settings as far as I can remember. They printed just fine.
Now I’m trying to print them again. No luck at all. About 1/4 - 1/3 the way up, the column starts swaying and then the print goes haywire. I reduced the acceleration settings to about 10% of default and cut the XY jerk to 2 mm/sec. Still no joy. I have uploaded the project file in the hope someone can tell me what I am doing wrong.
i tried to print it and failed 1/2. I just increased the support height and prints great. I also changed the infill to 100%, support z distance to .23, support layers 3. the rod slides right out. this was the quick fix method. I am sure if you play with the geometery and print settings you could get it to work. heres the 3mf and some pics. I also I printed it on my K2 .6 nozzle and I7 .4 nozzle had no issues.
After 8+ months of owning the printer, I had no idea that the supports could be defined to not-quite-touch the printed object. That’s the kind of lack of a good knowledge base which is the most frustrating thing to me about owning this machine.
Did have one problem now fixed - when I loaded your .3mf file, it wiped all my saved presets from the slicer dropdown menu and replaced them with your single preset as found in the file. Took a few minutes to locate them on my HD and figure out how to import, so all well. Just wondering what you do when importing a project file not your own to avoid this problem.
