printer not recognizing gcode files on sd cards

HI, I have a new Ender 3 V3 SE printer. I have been through all the set up and have printed 2 parts a week or two ago. I designed a new part in tinkercad and then sliced it in creality slicer 6.0. i exported the gcode to the same SD card i used for the other 2 parts - the issue is that when i insert the SD card and power the printer up, there are no files at all being recognized by the printer. i have tried multiple different SD cards both the micro w/ adapter and also full size sd card. unfortuneately i only have 32 gb as the smallest capacity. i have assured all the cards have been formatted to FAT32 and assured all gcode files are in the sd card’s root directiory . i am at a loss and fear i may be overlooking something simple - yet i am getting nowhere… please advise

Hello Susan_Turner,

First question

Do you do it that way around ?
It should be, turn the printer on, wait for it to settle/boot up, then insert the card.

If that does not work, maybe copy the files from the SD card that came with the printer to a folder on your computer (for backup) format that card and try using that instead.

It is a known problem with that model V3 SE to have dodgy SD card sockets, so if you still can’t get it to work I wouls suggest getting a Sonic pad, you won’t regret it.

Cheers.
