Printer nozzle doesn't dispense heated filament

Would you please help me with this printing problem?
When I start printing, the printer heads heat up and calibrates itself on the platform as usual.
The printer nozzle dispenses a line of heated filament along the left-hand side of the platform and then moves to the centre of the platform to begin printing the file.
However, the printer nozzle then starts to trace the outline of the design on the platform but doesn’t eject any heated filament to create the model.
I started printing a file this morning and left the printer unattended.
When I returned, the printer was still working to create the design, but the printer head hadn’t ejected any filament on the platform and had instead scratched an outline of the base of the design onto the surface.

Sounds like you have something messed up in the slicer program. Check the settings.

That sounds like your z-offset is too low, try to adjust it up. By dragging across the build plate you may have clogged the nozzle. You can try and clear it or replace it.
