It seems that if I am using CR-TPU in my K2 that there would be some settings that work.
I have tried everything. Get a decent print, then I can print the same item with the same settings and I get nothing but fuzz. I will go through that several times then it will print again.
I would estimate that I stop 4 prints for every 1 that it completes.
Why doesn’t it have premade settings that work? I am seriously considering returning it and buying something that works. It is nothing but frustrating junk that I am constantly working on. This is my last attempt to find a way to justify keeping it.
Hey, I totally get the frustration. TPU can be a pain to dial in, even on printers that are fully optimized for it.
Have you checked out the official guide on the wiki?
Creality K2 Plus TPU Guide
That said, Creality doesn’t officially list TPU as a supported material for the K2, mainly because of how the extruder gears interact with softer filaments. The direct-drive setup just isn’t ideal for TPU’s flexibility, which can lead to inconsistent extrusion and jams.
If you’re really set on printing TPU, some users have had decent success with firmer TPU blends (95A or higher), slower speeds, and reduced retraction. But if TPU is a major priority for you, then yeah, a machine that’s built for flexible filaments (like a Bambu Lab or Prusa) might be the better long-term fit.
