Printing issues with Creality-10 SE

I bought the Creality CR-10 SE 3D printer for my son. It printed well with the filament which was included with the printer. Then I bought PETG filament and the printer doesn’t work. - https://www.alza.cz/EN/filament-pm-175mm-petg-1kg-black-d5076855.htm

My questions

  • which filament is the best for this printer. I’m based in Czech Republic
  • If I want to print with PETG filament is it necessary to set up parameters like nozzle temperature, board temperature, layer thickness and if yes how?

Thanks a lot
Petr

Hello @pslacik …!

Welcome to the Creality Forum…! Creality

Just my opinion and not knowing your experience with 3D printers I would stick with PLA to teach your son and get knowledgeable about it to make sure it prints good.

Move on to PETG which takes a little higher temp like 250 nozzle / 80 build plate
You’ll also need some glue material on the bed for PETG as a release agent otherwise it will stick too much…

If you are using a slicer such as Creality Print 5+ the profiles should be in there for temps and build plate.
