Hi all,
Hope somebody can head me in the right direction here, not able to print ASA.
I had quite the battle getting this new printer to calibrate but that I thought was or is sorted, but may be not.
I’m trying to do the Pressure Advance calibration and have been successful with PLA and PETG no problems but ASA is giving me all kinds of problems.
Background:
Slicer = Prusa v2.8
Nozzle temp = 270 (I’ve tried 260 same issue, manufacturers recommendation = 255. The printer did manage to get further into the print at 270, kept pulling the print of the bed very early at 260.
Bed = 105
Manufacturers recommendation = 100 (i’m going higher with both temps as I’ve read that the Ender 3 S1 Pro can tend to be under on the temps.
Calibrated the Z height prior to printing with a feeler gauge = 0.100mm, bed and nozzle at temp.
Prior to fixing my calibration issues I had printed the test square for the PA calibration, using ASA so I know the printer can print the stuff.
Any way the issues. Pic 1 is of the top surface.
As you can see, pretty “lumpy”, that’s why I increased the temp. This part of the print is a brim, lower part of the print is the outside or first pass of the print.
The underside or bed side also shows this issue.
As you can see it starts out pretty good, I’ll tune the first layer width, but seems reasonable, then it goes to rubbish and due to the lumps the nozzle lifts the print off the bed and fails.
If anybody can help I’d be very grateful!
