Raptor Pro - No Connection Via Scan Bridge Possible

Hey

I received my raptor pro and a scan bridge yesterday and got started straight away.

I plugged the raptor pro directly into the scan bridge and wired everything up as described in the instructions and videos and did everything in the correct order.

I can only connect to the wifi of the scanbridge, but i don’t see the raptor pro in the cr scan software. I have also tried other laptops without success. Everything works perfectly with a direct cable connection!

Support has not yet contacted me, seemed to be a chatbot…:frowning:

Do any of you have an idea? is there any way to update the scanbridge firmware?

I am having the exact same issue. Upgraded to a Raptor Pro, bought the Scan Bridge. Hooked up everything. I can connect to the unit via WiFi, but Creality Scan does not see it and the blue blinking light continues. I even bought a second Scan Bridge just to test if I had a bad unit, exact same issue with the second unit. Nothing I do will get it to connect. I have tried two computers: PC laptop, and MacBook—both are WiFi 6 machines. I’ve tried with and without the supplied dongle. I too am also waiting for tech support. Raptor Pro works amazingly wired.

Same here, managed to see on YouTube that the flashing blue light should turn solid green but no luck yet. Both my phone and my pc connect to the scan bridge network (open/no Internet) but the software can’t see the Raptor.

Raptor or Raptor Pro? I’m just curious if this is a Raptor Pro issue or if this is a larger issue that also includes the original Raptor.

I’ve been dealing with a few different technical support members. The time delay is hard since I am in the US, so assistance is not in realtime. I was offered a firmware update today sent via a Feishu account; however I am unable to open. I was instructed the following:

“About the problem of Scan Bridge, use the software to upgrade the controller firmware. When the computer is connected to the controller WiFi, please open the software and stay on the home page for a while to wait for the update.”

However, connecting to the internet of the Scan Bridge does not open anything. Eventually the internet says “Connected Open”, before it changes to “No internet”.

A video of what the issue is:

Same problem here. The bridge will not stop blinking blue. From tech support I did receive the same forware updat as above. Strange in mij ticket I mentioned to have only a Mac, and still they send me a Windows executable.
See if I can find somebody who can help me.

Okay, I have good news!!! I have a procedure on how to get it working.

Today for PC, Creality released a new update. Creality Scan 3.3.36. It had notes of how you could update the Scan Bridge without it using WiFi.

I downloaded the new software and I repeated the steps of trying to log into the scanner via WiFi.

This time, the Scan Bridge showed up in the devices in Creality Scan.

I then clicked on “Device” in Creality Scan and I was able to see the Scan Bridge’s firmware was 1.0.6.

However, I was not given any prompt to upgrade (probably because I was still connected to the Scan Bridge’s WiFi.

So I unplugged the Scan Bridge and connected the scanner to the computer via the cable.

I then went back to the Device page and was able to click the link to see downloadable firmware.

On that link I was able to see available scanners and the Scan Bridge firmware releases.

The newest firmware for the Scan Bridge is 1.1.3

I was able to download it.

I then disconnected the cable and reconnected the scanner to the Scan Bridge.

I then turned it back on and connected to the Scan Bridge over WiFi.

Then I went back to the Device page in Creality Scan and clicked on the folders next to Folder Path. I found the Scan Bridge firmware that I had downloaded and I was able to Upgrade the firmware to the most current version.

Once that happened, SUCCESS!!!

The scanner and bridge are now seen on Creality Scan.

So to recap,

  1. download the newest Creality Scan software (this update must be super new because it is not showing up on Creality’s software page yet)
  2. Plug your scanner in and go to Device and click on the “download link”
  3. Download the most recent Scan Bridge Firmware
  4. Plug in the Scan Bridge and connect to its WiFi
  5. Go back to Device and select the Firmware package in Folder Path.
  6. Upgrade the software.

I have not checked on my Mac if the software has been updated. I was also unable to see how to upgrade the firmware without WiFi. So I assume connecting a USB-A cable to the Scan Bridge’s upper port which I believe is the data connection (bottom seems to only be for power).

Checked for Mac

There was no software update on Mac, but the Scan Bridge with its updated software just immediately connected.

So if you have a Mac, try either connecting a USB to the Scan Bridge or see if you can borrow a PC to update the firmware in the PC method that I described above.

Problem solved, everything is working fine now on a Mac. You need indeed a windows computer to update the firmware. Thx for the useful update from Brett above :+1::+1::+1::+1::+1::+1::+1::+1::+1: Have a beer on me :beer::beer::beer::beer:

I currently have this issue with macOS Tahoe 26.2 (25C56).

The wifi looks connected in mac but the blue bridge dot keeps blinking, CrealityScan 4 (1.5.12) does nothing.

I tried connecting it to one PC at first, but it didn’t even find the Bridge wifi network.

Another PC managed to connect over wifi and I could update the Bridge to version 1.2.5. Raptor Pro version is 1.4.1.

Still same issue when trying to connect with mac after the update

Will give it a go again when theres a new update, either mac, win, bridge or raptor, but for now I would say the bridge connection is broken.

So currently it works with 1 of my PC:s and none of the macs.

A couple of days ago I could scan using cable connection to mac, but macOS has been updated since so I’ll try that again when I get the time for it.

Anyone else got it working with macOS Tahoe 26.2?

Now when a new version of CrealityScan4 came out I tried again but still have the same issue.

When using Raptor Pro together with the Bridge and Mac I manage to connect to the Bridge WIFI as shown in the “Connection Guide”, but the blue light keeps blinking and CrealityScan4 never shows any connection.

  • Bridge firmware is 1.2.5
  • Raptor Pro firmware is 1.4.1
  • CrealityScan 4 version is 1.6.15
  • MacOS version is Tahoe 26.2 (25C56)

Anyone else got the Raptor Pro → Bridge → MacOS Tahoe working?

i have that setup and it does work, not sure what could be wrong with yours to be honest, as i didn’t need to do anything special, just make sure that you’re connecting the wifi dongle to the fastest port you have

The wifi dongel that came together with my Bridge explicitly says “Only supports Windows 10/windows 11“.

Have you gotten it to connect without the dongel? Also, which wifi dongel did you get? Does yours support MacOS?

you need to use the dongle as far as i’m aware, i don’t have the box anymore, but mine is not exactly that one, although looks pretty similar - it is a comfast cf-972ax

edit/ and i didn’t notice if there were compatibility indications on the box, but i just plugged it in and it does work

And you have never got it to work without a dongel?

Also, would you like to share your firmware, software and MacOS versions?

i’ve never even tried it, i don’t think it will work - have you tried using your dongle yet?

i don’t have it with me right now, but i’m using the latest version of everything  i keep everything running on the latest version shortly after release (just give a few days to see if any issues with the updates show up)

Yeah, I tried the dongle. Nothing happened. But it was kind of expected when it says it only supports Windows.

Would you mind sharing your MacOS version when you have the chance? :innocent:

well i just found something interesting, the wifi dongle wasn’t actually doing anything after all, looks like mine isn’t compatible with macos either! i’ve been connecting directly all along (which might explain the low frame rate to be honest, i think with the dongle working it would be higher)

i then went to research a bit and it is possible to workaround and get drivers installed for my dongle at least, but it’s too much work and some ‘hacky’ software - Wireless-USB-Big-Sur-Adapter/Usage-macOS-Tahoe.md at master · chris1111/Wireless-USB-Big-Sur-Adapter · GitHub

i’m on macos 26.2

edit/ scanner and bridge firmware same as yours and creality scan as well

I finally found out what I did wrong!

It was the VPN! I had forgotten to disable it!

I’m pretty sure I had it disabled before when testing with the previous software version, but maybe the VPN was the issue all along! :man_facepalming:

I really appreciate you taking the time helping me! :bouquet:

And good stuff you found out you don’t need the dongel! :ok_hand:t2:

Thanks again!
