Re: a problem with my Ender Pro 3D printer Not reading my SD card

Every time I plug in my SD card in the Ender Pro 3D printer says there is a problem reading the SD card. But when I put the SD card in my laptop, the laptop reads the files just fine. The 3D printer sat boxed up and in storage for a bit over a year because the old apt didn’t have the room for the tv, the ink-jet printer, the computer desk my ham radios and so on. I am in a much larger apt now. So I broke out the 3D printer, unpacked it and set it up. Before the 3D printer got boxed up for the move from West Richland to Richland WA it worked just fine I have a few items that I printed before the move What gives???

Hi Steve

Sometimes the SD card can become corrupted or just a bit of dirt can get into the reader. Also I find that my Ender 3 KE doesn’t like any USB stick over 32Gb so maybe it’s similar with an SD card. If you have a card reader on your PC/laptop, try putting the card in and see if it picks it up. You could also insert the card in the computer and look under ‘Disk Management’ to see if it finds the card. Sorry it’s not much help, but it’s some of the things that I’ve learned over the years.

Your desk sounds just like mine. Computer, printer(s), ham radios (HF/VHF/UHF and hand-helds), tools and 3D printers x 2 - total chaos at times! :flushed:

Hope you manage to get things sorted

I do have a a card reader in my laptop and I went to Walmart and I got 2 new SD cards and I still have the same problem in the 3D printer.

I also tried the direct USB cable that came with the 3D printer and pluged the USB cable into the laptop. The display came on with the power still off on the 3D printer. And all I got was "no media available

And when I turn the 3D printer’s power on I still have the same reply " NO media available" NOW WHAT? How do I fix this problem so I can 3D print things?

Does anyone have a answer to my 3D printer problem???
