My Printer identifies my Hyper PLA as PETG-CF, no way to override this. This is causing me issues with Printing as I can’t use my Black when printing with other Hyper PLA colors.
If you downgrade the firmware, the problem is corrected?
Are you sure? Like I see it you selected slot 1C for black, not 1B…
Quick fix remove the rfid tag and manually enter the material information
I would also see if it’s just that tag having the issue
Creality selected that, item I’m trying to print is White and Black, but due to the damn thing thinking I have PETG in 1B it selects the next PLA color over. I’ve been fighting this for over a month and finally gave up and posted here.
It was fine before the update, after the update it says my Black Hyper PLA is Black PETG-CF. Wish you could override this without removing the RFID from the spool.
but, if today you downgrade the firmware version, how the rfid works?
test downgrading
Hello @CommandrX1 ![]()
Welcome to the Creality Forum…! ![]()
See if you can download the “CFS RFID” app for Android. Not sure about apple phones. Use it to rewrite the tag for the correct info. It also reads the tag to see what’s on it.
It’s meant for Creality printers and CFS systems, and it programs MIFARE Classic 1K RFID tags so the printer can recognize filament brand, type, and color
I have a similar issue on my K2 Plus. ALL latest firmwares and program. I bought CR PETG-CF, RFID spool. Thought it would all go smoothly, NOT! The CFS would read it and show it on the printers screen.
If I slice it and try to send to the printer it has PETG with no colour and all hatched out. It absolutely refuses to even transfer the file to the printer saying it is not mapped or some such crap. All the other filaments loaded work fine but the PETG-CF will not. Send to and then print from the printers screen, still refuses to print from the CFS. It is an RFID tag that CAME ON THE Creality SPOOL!!
I faked it into printing by making a user filament setting that I called PETG-CF but having the printer BELIEVE it was ABS and put all the PETG-CF parameters that I could figure out from various sources.
So messed up with the CFS KNOWING it is PETG-CF, Creality print thinking it is ABS and it prints without issues. Something(s) definitely needs an upgrade.
