Have a new machine, setup the rotary chuck, disabled the alarms for lid and drawer, added risers, and in the software I selected the rotary chuck and input the diameter of the object. When I go to frame the print, the x-axis works but the y-axis does not. The y-axis rotates a small amount like half a mm only. However, when i use the move arrows under Frame Settings, I can get the chuck to rotate. I cannot find any other settings to adjust. Can anyone help me solve this? Maybe I just need to use a different software?
So you plugged the rotary in instead of the Y axis motor and it still doesn’t work in FDS? (As the rotary becomes the new Y axis when you use it)
And on top the rotary mode is selected?
It should work with Falcon Design Space, I have used the chuck rotary with it before.
Thank you for your quick reply. Yes it is plugged in to the wire I took off the y-axis motor on the front inside of the machine and rotary chuck is selected from the top of the FDS program. It’s strange that I can get the chuck to rotate using the “Move” function of the Frame settings but not when I actually select the Frame button. Have not tried engraving to see if it will work as the framing function would not rotate the chuck. Maybe I need to reload the program.
Anyone have any other ideas?
Can you send a screenshot of what you are trying in FDS? It is the Creality chick rotary, not the one of another brand?
