SBS Filament

SBS is a magic filament and more and more replacing my use of PLA. Is there a way to add SBS as a filament type on the CFS?

I just added my SBS profile under PLA and I select it from there. However I am not able to print with SBS via my CFS (only on side spool). It is as if the filament stretches too much and then more filament is not provided by the CFS.

Anyone able to print with SBS via the CFS for multicolor printing purposes?

SBS filament is not recommended to use in a CFS type system as it’s softer and is better on the side spool. Also the extruder drive gears will possibly flatten and deform SBS filament. Kind of like TPU filament which is softer and easier to jam in the CFS.

I looked up what SBS is:

SBS filament is a thermoplastic based on styrene-butadiene-styrene, a rubber-modified plastic. It sits somewhere between rigid plastics like PLA and flexible materials like TPU.

Semi-flexible – not rubbery like TPU, but it will flex instead of snapping.
Very tough – good impact resistance. Parts tend to bend rather than crack.
Clear and glossy – many SBS filaments print transparent or glass-like when dialed in.
Chemical smoothing – it can be smoothed with certain solvents to become very clear.
Higher temperature resistance than PLA – parts tolerate heat better.
