I have a CR Otter scanner and was wondering if it would be worthwhile getting a scan bridge for it.
How do people find the scan bridge, is it useful or not, what makes it good or bad and does it make scanning generally easier with better results?
Thanks
Replying to myself for in case anyone is interested. I ordered an otter scan bridge and I’m pleased with the results. I don’t know that you get better results but it’s at least as good. It’s certainly easier not being tethered by cable. I do find that when I lose tracking it gets it back quicker and easier than previously but this might just be down to a software update to creality scan. I like the screen mirroring on my phone. This makes it much easier as you aren’t looking in a different direction at the computer screen. I think that reduces the amount of times you lose tracking and probably why it is easier to get it back. Where as tethered I was getting 29-30 fps I only get 14-15 using the bridge but this doesn’t seem to cause any issues.
Quick update.
A few scans in now and I am well and truly converted. It’s much better to go wireless. It may be expensive for what it is but it certainly does it’s job brilliantly.
