how do you separate lines from an imported PNG drawing so you can set up engraving lines and cut lines this is in falcon design space.
With a PNG you need to right-click the image in Falcon Design Space and use the ‘Trace Image’ menu option.
In there use the Threshold and Noise Ignore sliders to bring out the outline you want from your PNG image.
Pro tip: if you use Lightburn instead, the equivalent trace feature for images offers a transparency selection option for the tracing which works really well for images where you have removed a background.
You’ll find it much easier to use SVG or DXF files to easily separate lines for cutting, but if you’re using a photo or similar image that needs to be a PNG then the Trace Image feature will do what you require.
